Marina/Esther – back in business as of Dec. 5th?
“Did you hear we might be back on screen soon…?”
…
Popular Italian TV Blog Televisionando (headed by Giorgia Iovane) reports this morning that “Terapia d’urgenza”, otherwise known as “Italian women over 30 to spend your Friday nights with”, might be back in air in its previous Friday slot as of Dec. 5th. (news hot off the tagboard of the Italian board)
RAIDUE
Return to the screen should, as of Friday, Dec. 5th, “Terapia d’urgenza”, to the joy of all those who protested its cancellation. Although without any warranty for the rest of the timeframe, it is still the topmost of the “unused materials” to recover.
…
Please note the use of subjunctive there – this piece of news is not a warranty, but it’s the best rumor we’ve had in weeks. The information is based on the pre-publication of the Italian TV program listings for December and January (and only for those two months) and might still be subject to changes (it’s not as if we wouldn’t know already that those can be rather sudden) or it might have been sketchy in the first place.
And on a sidenote, did you notice that out protests apparently have gotten noticed? Heh.
So far, there is nothing reflecting this news on the Rai websites, but since “Terapia d’urgenza” remained slated in the programm schedule there even after the cancellation was old news, I’ll simply assume that in case of a return, the updating of the websites will happen just as slowly. Also, there is no news yet on whether the episodes might be reruns (something that sounds plausible, given the fact that RaiDue didn’t manage to build a bigger audience the first time around) or whether there will be new episodes airing.
Hmm. On the whole, it seems as if I won’t be writing a Marina/Esther story after all, but will instead be returning to translating and screencapping as of Dec. 5th, replacing the withdrawals edition with new sneak previews instead.
More news (and hopefully a confirmation!) on these return rumours will follow as soon as I get my hands on them.

Updated Nov. 18th 11:06 – one of the moderators of the Italian board, Fe-Milou-Abracadabra, states that there had already been rumors underway; she sees the pre-published schedule as a confirmation. (original post in this thread) -This morning just keeps getting better…
…
Updated Nov. 18th 13:03 Italian TV blogger Alessia of tvblog.girlpower.it now also announces the return of Terapia d’urgenza as of Friday, Dec. 5th: “Let’s start by announcing the big return of Terapia d’urgenza, probably on Dec. 5th, and not, as previously assumed, in spring of 2009.”
