…
Due to work, I’ll be spending the next 2 1/2 weeks cordoned off from the outside world and the internet (*gasp*) on a “dig” of sorts in “Assyria” to hopefully speed up matter on said assignment. In case of doubt, I’ll simply call upon Mel and Janice…
To make a proper operatic exit, I’m leaving you with the Queen of White Shirt Country herself – is she on our flag, actually? – while I’m out (I’m sure you won’t miss me). Here’s Vesselina Kasarova with Prince Arsace’s famous entry cavatina “Ah, quel giorno” from Rossini’s “Semiramide” from the Vienna Concert with Kammerorchester Basel back in February 2010.
I’ll be back Monday, Oct. 4th, just in time for a new White Shirt Monday and to start planning the next Friday Night Conversation.
Be well and be safe, all of you!

Hope you can finish your work safe and well too. Be missing your posts.
You be safe and well too. I look forward to when you return!
Of course we will miss you. Enjoy your “dig.”
Safe journey, I look forward to our next Friday Night chat.
Say Hi to Ishtar. On second thought, avoid Ishtar altogether.
Take care. Wishing you smooth work. And, of course look forward to the next Friday Night chat.
I will so miss you! Looking forward to your return!
Already looking forward to your return, Anik! Good luck on the “dig” — no falling over low walls into pits, ok?
I have something for you:
Wow! Where does that voice come from, there is nothing of her but she has a gorgeous sound. A first for me, Thanks for the introduction
I believe it’s Anik’s fave contra, if I am not mistaken… here you can see/hear why.
I certainly can I think after I have delved for more examples I shall be joining her
