(for fandom’s sake, I pretend they are called Wells Islands, since they breech time zone jump and are in the middle of Bering Strait, but that is really only of interest if you are a sci-fi nerd and ship Myka/HG on Warehouse 13…)
how about a teaser? i took many photos of the islands but this is one of my favorite, not so much zoomed in, but the light condition was perfect given sun light from the east

Well, I had support/assistance from my Person, but she seems to be insisting I post for both pf us. I did just happen to notice WH13 is back…. But I was afraid to watch it, even going so far as t try to think how soon they’d be willing to bring HG back…. beginning of this season?! No, no, I thought. Maybe they’ll just bring her back in time for the season finale, or series finale…. but obviously they will bring her back. I just can’t believe in a universe in which HG doesn’t come back from the dead.
OK, I just noticed that the first ep is called ‘A New Hope’ !!!!! Dare I hope for a Star Wars tie-in AND a revivified HG????? All at once?????
They could pull it off, but I do’t think they will… although I still hope for some kind of at least intermediary resolution à la “will wait in other realm until series end for glorious reunion” (esp. with Murray on another show now, no matter how wonderfully supportive the actresses are of the ship). As for coming back from the dead – not really the biggest challenge in the sci-fi/fantasy fandoms, lucikyl!
I’m equal parts scared and excited and already see myself needing twice the amount of fanfic to be able to sleep after the episode (will only get to watch it tonight, or I won’t get any work done during the day).
i’m pretty happy with the little they did do, and i must agree that it’s entirely likely that hg will wait in the wings all season — hopefully with a glorious reunion at the end! at least they didn’t freeze her in carbonite.

Even if it were just a glorious reunion at the series end that leaves the door open to read things in a queer manner, I would be happy. Have them kiss and ride off into the sunset together probably won’t happen as long as they need need to sell DVDs to the straight audience afterwards (and I cannot stress enough that we are talking about the female lead going gay here!), but if things continue as they have been done so far, it would be amply implied at least (and for the rest, well, this fandom has taken gif manips to a new level…) – just take the memory sequence that Myka had in the season premiere. HG sweeping her off her feet in the grappler scene? How much more maintext could it get (without putting off other audiences – and yes, part of me wants to say that sometimes, jsut sometimes, the queer fandoms have to prevail to and there are tons of shows with straight female leads out there, why shouldn’t we get just this one, and why wouldn’t a straight identifying person be able to appreciate the beauty and epicness of Myka/HG, but then again, will a network exec counting their dollars ever see it the same way?)?!
As long as they don’t do anything to openly go against the relationship in canon, I’m in. And aything else, I’ll just write on my own. …oh dear God, did I just say that?!

I need to get new pictures in my head of Jamie after I saw her being murdered on Spartacus. Time for rebirth! NOW 
And I couldn’t watch Spartacus, since it felt like Xena cheating on Gabby (yes, I know, I should have my head checked out)… and if there were to develop something shippery regarding Murray’s and Benz’s characters on “Defiance”, I probably couldn’t get behind it, either, because I’d think “wait, HG belongs with Myka, and Robin belongs with Katherine”; though Delaney is a challenge in that regard since as far as “Body of Proof” is concerned, Megan clearly should be with Karen, but I think “China Beach” can call first dibs there (so: Helgenberger), and also, more than anything, Seven belongs with Janeway. — Fandom physics are a challenge when you’re the faithful-as-a-dog “il primor amor l’ultimo sarà” kind of shipper person because you also listen to way too much opera, only that there is no such thing as too much opera.
I need sleep. I can already feel myself getting overwhelmed by angsty gif sets on tumblr.
hm, maybe it may help to know that Xena doesn’t have even a slight resemblance with Lucretia (I came across Spartacus because of Jamie and then it took me some time to realize that it was indeed Lucy). Plus Lucretia’s character is so opposite from being Xena that it didn’t feel like Xena cheating on Gabby – it felt more like Lucy cheating on her character Xena – Lucretia is definitely not somebody to look up to.
I can see your point regarding favourite pairings – it never sat right with me that Carla hooked up with Stella, noooooo way. And I’m just glad we didn’t get to see Pepa with that dark-haired woman on the last show, Dekker was enough as it was.
oh, all these fandoms to check out – yep, need more sleep here too
hm, I may have to check out Spartacus after all, when I figure out how to live without sleep. Where did you first notice Murray? I hadn’t until the Spartacus reviews, and since I skipped that one, it wasn’t until WH13, really.
And don’t get me started on Pepa ending up with someone else (and a woman to boot, which made it worse for me) – I still ignore that that happened. Well, I ignore everything right after the wedding and before the shooting. Lalala, I can’t hear you.

I actually stumbled over Murray on YT – I watched an episode about a lesbian couple on a tv show called “Valentine” – Murray as a greek goddess – that was big fun

apple pie, apple pie, apple pie, yeah – although i have to admit that the apricot dumplings you mentioned sound wonderfully close to Marillenknödel, my absolute most favourite austrian dessert – I can skip over Topfenstrudel, Apfelstrudel, Salzburger Nockerln, Sachertorte only for some Marillenknödel mit Vanillesoße.
Ups, hope you don’t mind I made this into a compliment to austrian cuisine. Must be lunchtime already, ha, I will watch WH 13 now.
