White Shirt Monday: “I’m Hanseling It”

Russia at the moment may not be a place I would associate with a great liberty in regards to queer-associated gender expression, but at least the diegetic horizon is still winning out in opera an Hansel still gets to wear trousers an a sweater vest. And rolled up white shirt sleeves. As the great Anna Russell put it in regards to the Valkyrie: “You can do anything as long as you sing it.”

[And whoever of you knows where the original “I’m handling it” quote stems from – props to you. I heart your taste in lesbian movies.]
