Chapter 4 does not really involve lot of water. The protagonists might be in need of a glass or two, though.
While I can certainly not claim historical accuracy, I tried to pay attention to the meddling context of religion, desire and self. Would a late 15th century woman (or, more importantly: two) in Toledo have had these or similar thoughts and impulses, and acted on them? – Who knows.
