[I swear I have seen this exact same scene play out in more than one club in my twenties, only that no one ever managed to wear that vest/shirt combo quite as stylishly (also, I definitely owned the utility jeans on the left, in my twenties and, yes, I did wear them to go dancing).

The cast sports Eleonora Buratto as Countess, Christiane Karg as Susanne, Marianne Crébassa as Cherubino, Stéphane Degout as Count, Alex Exposito as Figaro, Katharine Goeldne as Marcellina, Louise Kemeny as Barbarina, Umberto Chiummo as Bartolo, Krystian Adam as Basilio, Jeroen de Vaal as Don Curzio and Matteo Peirone as Antonio.

Closing out this year’s liveblog summer festival (though there will be single events throughout autumn – at the moment, it looks like “Semiramide” might go down on Oct 8th) is the new “Nozze di Figaro” from Amsterdam in the David Bösch staging, available as of today as a stream on demand on ARTE.
